If you are on the fence about trying it, just DO IT. I’m mad I didn’t pull the trigger sooner. We’ve tried all sorts of different “no pull” devices for our English pointer and nothing seemed to work. He’d still be ripping our arm off no matter what leash or harness we were using. I finally decided to try the yokum and OH. MY. GOSH. there was an IMMEDIATE difference in walking him. If he starts to pull, I feel a slight tug as the leash tightens and he instantly slows down. With a little extra training I think he’ll adjust to walking with his shoulders at my side rather than his hips, but he’s no longer tearing my arm out of socket. Yes, it seems a tad pricey for a “leash”, but it’s worth every penny. Compared to some other no-pull options I was looking at, it is actually quite affordable. It’s comfortable to hold and the round shape makes me feel better than there are no tough edges digging into his belly. Adjusting to fit correctly was easy, just followed the directions.
