- Hot sidewalks & pavement: for everyday walks in town, the boots put a barrier between your dog's paws and hot sidewalks and pavement. They do not make dangerously hot pavement safe. On very hot days, walk early or late, stay on grass or shade, and avoid excessively hot surfaces.
- Hunting & working dogs: cover against stickers, burrs, and rough, abrasive ground.
- Spare boot: 4 for the adventure, 1 for the unexpected. Lose or damage one in heavy cover and you still have four. With your vet's OK, the spare can also cover a paw that's healing from a minor injury.

Measure front and back paws, dog standing, weight on the paw. Choose the size that fits the largest paw. ALWAYS SIZE BY PAW WIDTH, NOT BREED.

Fitting
Clean paws, trimmed nails. Pull on like a sock; fasten both straps snug, not pinching, with the lower strap around the ankle area. Check the fit indoors, then outdoors. Never leave boots on an unattended dog. Watch the fitting video & full guide →

HOW TO WASH YOUR YOKUM GEAR DOG BOOTS
- Remove excess mud, dirt, and debris.
- Fasten both Velcro straps.
- Place the boots inside the included mesh drawstring bag and secure it.
- Machine wash in warm water on a gentle cycle, or hand wash.
- Hang the boots in the mesh bag, or remove them and lay them flat, and allow them to air dry completely, inside and out.
- NEVER PUT BOOTS IN THE DRYER!
We have personally tested washing the muddy boots inside the mesh bag, and they came out looking brand new!

Returns & size exchanges: 30 days from delivery; boots must be clean, unused outdoors, and in original packaging (try on indoors). Orders ship free; customers pay return shipping and shipping on replacement boots.

Are all 5 boots the same size?
Yes. If your dog's front and back paws measure differently, choose the size that fits the largest paw.
My dog measures exactly on a size's top number. Which size?
Order the next size up. Example: exactly 3" = size 6, exactly 2 1/2" = size 4. Our sizes currently run 3 to 7. If your dog's paw is under 2 1/4" or 3 1/2" and over, contact us before ordering.
Are they waterproof?
We don't make waterproof claims. They're made for rainy, muddy, and snowy days, and they make it easy to pull the mud off at the door.
Are they made for ice?
No. These boots aren't sold as ice-traction boots.
Can my dog wear them on hot pavement?

Why won't the boot slide all the way on?
Check the toenails. In our testing, boots wouldn't slide fully onto some test dogs' paws until their nails were trimmed.
Can I leave the boots on my dog when I'm not around?
No. Never leave boots on an unattended dog that might chew or remove them.
